My post was an attempt at irony as jrhana points out. I'm in the same camp as you wrt gold, and see a lot more potential downside to the war than upside. That's not from a gold perspective, but one on global stabiltiy. I fear that the US is far too confident that they can prevent another major terrorist attack on their soil. I pray it doesn't happen, but the effect on their economy could be significant. They really have a lot of work to do to prevent another attack. IMHO
