Hmm!
US debt up, will rates stay low ? go lower still ... gasp or rise gasping more ?: reuters.com
Yet here in Canada we do this so much for competitive devaluation: bankofcanada.ca
so now of course our currency appreciates against that of our largest (with no close second) trading partner. Bearing in mind that the US may be developing some tariff fever (lumber and now maybe wheat ooops to bi-directional free trade), needs a lower dollar (IMHO) but not of course a broken dollar (not OBL's opinion). Will Canada look to better balance it's portfolio of trading partners ?

Now if I invest in China but they say this: friedlnet.com should I not bother with China after all ? I guess it depends on China growth vs greenback devaluation... And what of my gold juniours ? (they should be fine :o) This is getting harder and harder ....

Simmons likes China though... for many of the same reasons I do but that doesn't make it any easier... simmonsco-intl.com
