He should have quit over this.

That was my initial reaction. But if I quit every time someone tried to micro-manage me I'd never have kept a job. There are ways to deal with it.

he was dead wrong by pushing for a ground campaign. That's Guerilla country, as the Nazi's found out to their chagrin.

True, but the terrain in the northern third of Serbia (north of the Danube) is much better suited to regular military operations. The one possible ground tactic I could think of was to grab that area by launching an attack from our new NATO bases in Hungary. Then trade it back to them in exchange for the withdrawal from Kosovo. This would have really rattled the Serbs, since many of them migrated there 400 years ago after the tragic loss to the Turks in Kosovo.

As I recall, the Serb's folded when we knocked out their Electric Grid and they realized we were serious. No power, no war.

Yeah, the war stopped when the Serbs couldn't flush their toilets in Belgrade because of the low water pressure. Those carbon filament bombs were really neat, and the should have used them the first day of the war.

In conclusion, the Dems are welcome to this "Political General."

The Europeans like him. I think part of the French/German agenda is to knock out Bush in the next election and replace him with someone more "multilateral". Bush needs to win big in Iraq to counter this. Regime change can happen in Paris and Berlin too.
