1. Saddam's torture doesn't justify the US (or anyone else) doing it. Is this too complex a point? You seem to have missed it.
To make it even clearer, if we're fighting a 'moral' war, a 'just' war... don't you see it's incumbent to do so? We're supposed to be better than him, that's the whole point. We don't get kudos because we don't use torture quite as much.

2. Admitting it doesn't make it better, either. There's no AA-group for torture - although what a picture...
"Hey, my name's GWB. I'm turned on by torture and high-level bombing."
"Well done, you've admitted your problem..."

3. Terming me a 'peacenik' may satisfy some personal need for you, but it's irrelevant and only makes you look like a mouthpiece without proper arguments and so forced to resort to abuse.
