if you recall if you were watching the news, the story was developing throughout the day.... i watched an analysis of the market moves both up and down wrt to the story and the government reaction to the story... floor traders were obviously reacting to the news as it was being broadcast. it seems quite logical to recognize, assuming a malevolent motive, that it was the floor traders who were being manipulated not the other way around. i find it quite doubtful that the originators of the rumor were even remotely concerned about the actions of floor traders..and don't see "manipulation" on any level. "Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily" Occam's Razor
