Hi, all:

My sincere prayer is that nobody in Canada ever experiences an attack like 9/11.

Those who haven't experienced this directly [apparently] can't understand what we in the U.S. are going through.

We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with.

The Afghanistan regime was exporting terrorism to America (see 9/11). The Iraq regime, after perfecting torture (well-documented) and terrorism on its own people (VX nerve gas on Kurds), attempted to export this terrorism to Iran and Kuwait. America, Canada and it's allies restored stability to a strategic region, the Middle East.

If we had wanted the oil, we could have taken it then. We didn't. We don't want the oil now. We want a stable Middle East, where oil is their #1 export, not terrorism.

Bush's actions have resulted in much higher oil prices and a delay in economic recovery. And, this may result in a war that could turn ugly, costing many American lives.

Ultimately, this may be political suicide for him, but he's doing it because he believes it's the right thing to do to protect American lives from future terrorist attacks on American soil. And yes, I am quite certain the Iraqi people will be much better off without Hussein than with him.

Regards,
Geoff

PS: You guys have great beer!
