Poole says crisis possible for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac : St Louis
Fed President Poole said this morning that a "crisis is possible"
for FNM and FRE and that they pose a threat to the economy if they
fail; he also said that the govt should end the implicit guarantee
of the two, and indicated that the GSEs should increase capital
holdings.
