I think the modern day interpretation of Zionism is counterproductive, and though I don't claim to be a philosopher or theologian, I fail to see how Zionism is consistent with the concept of one God who can be worshipped anywhere--a concept fundamental to Judaism, and perhaps the greatest gift of Judaism to the modern world.

Now you have a perfect right to believe in the God given right of a homeland for the Jews--as long as this does not assume the Jews have a right to expropriate someone else's land, or to grab land without just compensation. With well over a million Palestinian refugees sitting in camps after more than 50 years, don't give us this fiction about Jews being forced out of Arab lands, without acknowledging the other side of the story.
