China has tried to destroy Tibet in three ways. The first is militarily (and has killed a big percentage of Tibetans during the early years. Anybody who thinks the West behaves from a moral stand point, should note that no support short of empty words was given to Tibetans). The second is through dislocation/relocation. And the third through moving large numbers of none native population into Tibet.

The first option is a gone conclusion. The second has caused the spread of Buddhism and Tibetan cause well beyond what pre-invasion Tibet would have accomplished. And the third will only lead to the absorption of moved population. Just as early Christianity could not be stopped by brute force methods, so will Tibetan Buddhism overcome the Chinese rule.

These are all my personal opinion of course.
