Friedman has missed the main signals for five years this guy is the poster boy for Keynesian Monetarist BULLSHIT he is a political animal, not much of an economist anymore he is a joke he is a flag waver from Harvard and Chicago schools of fallacious thought Friedman and Samuelson are effing jokes anymore as for TIPS-TENS spread, I believe Rich Russell has pointed out that the spread is widening each month, even as the future inflation ECRI guage is rising my read is that the markets are now indicating a price inflation rate of 4% minimum within two years we are already seeing current indications with food, energy, health, employment costs, materials, commodities, and imports Friedman is a legendary fuchup!!! / jim
