I do disagree. His argument, obviously, is based on his liberalism, as he presented no basis for the position. Most liberals think we ought to cede our sovereignty to the UN, so there is nothing earth shattering there.

In spite of his liberalism, I think he does clearly comprehend the issues of the Middle East.

If you are unable to get past your bias and take those portions of the speech which were well-reasoned, I think you come away with a clearer take.

I don't begrude Friedman or anyone else their liberalism.
