Clarification of my position in Durum Energy Corp.:

Not the Chairman or even a director for quite some time now. I am the single largest shareholder in this company but have no involvement in the ongoing affairs with Durum.
Indo-Pacific Energy Ltd. is the only company that I am actively involved with on a day to day basis at this time. Durum has a minority interest in two joint ventures that Indo-Pacific also has participation. If you are a shareholder in Durum you can likely expect an annual report soon since the year end was in March 31, 1997. As for the Ene Basin in Peru (which was a project I introduced to Durum some time ago) Durum's interest has been swapped for shares in Tenke Mining TSE:TNK. Tenke has an interest in Ene Basin as well as significant mining interests in Africa.
As far as I am concerned Durum is a sound little company and I personally have a long term view with my share position.
I have no intention to further discuss the affairs of Durum Energy on this thread.

Regards
