There may not be a unified Iraq post Saddam. Iraq is likely to split into 3 or more nations (independent Kurdistan almost guaranteed) within 1 - 3 years. Something else is wrong with the equation. I always thought Saddam would have been one of the most loyal Yankee puppy. He got super buddy treatment from Reagan and elder Bush. Something went wrong and I cannot figure out what it was.
