I assume by "dead" you mean "not currently active." But that's where searching can have some value. I want to be able to search all of it!

What they need to do is get a database professional who can devise an indexing strategy that will enable robust searching, across the whole database, or restricted to a single thread, or a single poster, or both, without degrading insert performance. I think it can be done.

Oh, and make the search terms RED in the returned text, for gawd's sake! Which numbnutz lost taht code?
