Haim, i found that chart RCA chart, i created that chart 7/24/99, i remember we were posting to each other then about the 18-19 $vix, and the p/c ratios, however that top in july turned out to be only a short gambit until october, then the blow-off, the RCA chart at that time showed a lower high coming , but AOl made a higher high.
AOL didn't collapse like RCA, there are a lot of nasdaq charts that could look closer to RCA in the aftermath.
AOL was the blue-chip and smartest internet company, they didn't buy other overvalued companies, they bought something undervalued, Time-Warner, and they fooled a lot of smart money in that process, Ted Turner -g-.
Now if AOL was to follow the general path of RCA it could go back to 50 cents (1994 price), it may be there now if they hadn't bought Time-Warner. home.thegrid.net i added an update to the chart, the scale is off a bit. |
