Earlier this past fall, I posted that I thought that Valentines day was about the cutoff for the start of an Iraqi war. My reasoning was clearly in error. It was based on my experience with NBC suits, and my understanding of the Iraqi weather. Last month as that time past, I was hearing reports of an unusually cold winter in the Middle East (snow in Jerusalem, etc.). I thought maybe the army will get lucky. Looking at the spring sand storms on CBS news tonight, I fear the luck may have run out. If the pattern continues to play to form, the current sand storms will spread further north and intensify. They will be followed by a precipitous rise in temperature. I know Bush & Co. plan on going in a week or two. I just hope the troops don't have to pay a dear price for decisions made in Washington.
