Warp,
I have just installed a Linksys setup. Wireless Access Router (2.4Gig) with 4-ports in the back. Desk box is hard wired via ethernet cable, while laptop runs off wireless card or ethernet card by Realport. Hooked all of this up in less than 2 hrs with some help from my ISP/DSL provider.

For those who are wondering, the router stops "port probes" from kiddie scripters that had caused 100's of attack notices to Black Ice Defender. A router eliminates a huge number of problems from these types of attacks. The wireless router affords a great flexibility for the laptop if I want to work some other place than my 'traditional' desk. Linksys was very easy to install; absolutely no problems after 2 weeks. Good luck.
