re: Oderint dum metuant

When he was elected, Bush2 was supposed to be uninterested in foreign affairs, except for Mexico. With Mexico, he supposedly understood the nation and culture, and had a good relationship. He regularly talked to leaders from Texas's neighbors to the South. Yet, even here, he's putting his foot in his mouth. Not quite as badly as the "crusade" comment. But still. If he can't keep them as friends, who's left? Keep it up, and the French-German-Russian-China-S.Korean-Japanese
deter-the-U.S. alliance will add Mexico and Canada, and we will be totally Contained.
