I'll agree about the timeline Bush has cornered himself into. He might have pushed the urgency of the matter a little too hard.

Or pushed at all. Saddam has made many mistakes in his life, and the probability is that he would have made another one within Bush's timeframe, which would give us a reason to go to war, a reason readily accepted around the world.
