Isn't clear to you that this is not true in the case of military action? What would it take to convince you. And if you come back with the same "1441 allows us to act" stuff, then why the charade? You know that at this point, even if Powell manages to win another resolution, its meaning is nil...since it will have been very clear to everyone that the vote were either bought or coerced. This is a con game aimed at the uninformed.

Gee, why is that? Why would they attack the country which is trying to liberate them?

Friedman theorizes that it is because countries like SA and Egypt, who are quite repressive regimes also, are propped up by the US for reasons of convenience and they a cauldron if Islamic fundamentalism (unlike Iraq which is a secular nation, where there actually is freedom of religion).
