Fonix VoiceDial(TM) 1.2 Delivers Solution for English, German, French, and Spanish; 'My Voice, My Device' Cross-Platform Speech Access By Voice Recognition CeBIT Exhibit Hall 27, Stand C56

SALT LAKE CITY and HANNOVER, Germany, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fonix Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: FONX), a leading provider of speech interface solutions, will exhibit its innovative Fonix VoiceDial(TM) software and its "My Voice, My Device" speech solutions for safer and easier access to mobile and wireless devices at the CeBIT fair -- Hall 27, Stand C56 -- in Hannover.

"VoiceDial has been received with great enthusiasm in the English-speaking market," said Rolf-Juergen Bruess, President, Fonix International and Strategic Marketing. "We are now looking forward to expanding this success to the European market with VoiceDial 1.2." The recently announced VoiceDial 1.2. is considerably smaller, has natural voice prompts, and is available in English, German, French and Spanish.

VoiceDial is totally interactive, hands-free speech software that enables users to place calls simply by speaking the phone number or contact name. Fully integrated to Microsoft Outlook contact information, Fonix VoiceDial is available for all PocketPC Phone Edition devices, including the T-Mobile PocketPC Phone Edition, the AT&T Siemens SX56, the O2 XDA, the HP Journada 928 WDA, and announced devices including the Hitachi Multimedia Communicator and the Samsung i700. This "killer app" is also available for Microsoft Smartphone Devices.

The Fonix CeBIT exhibit will also feature "My Voice, My Device" announced last month at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France. As devices based on operating systems like the Microsoft PocketPC Phone Edition, Microsoft Smartphone, Symbian, Palm OS5, and Linux have become smaller and more powerful, current approaches to accessing the Internet either with a stylus or, even worse, by using a phone keypad to T9 have become impractical and archaic. Speech access by voice recognition is a natural solution to making the user interface on mobile devices a must-have application.

"My Voice, My Device" speech solutions will be delivered through the Fonix Voice Suite(TM) of products. The products or modules will initially include: Fonix VoiceDial(TM), Fonix VoiceEmail(TM), Fonix VoiceInternet(TM) and Fonix VoiceCalendar(TM).
