interesting. i don't have Deffeyes' book handy right now so i can't check his treatment of bitumen. i find it hard to believe he ignored 2.5 trillion barrels of oil--which exceeds his upper estimate for total ultimate global production--in a single Athabascan deposit without a reason, but will need to check on this later. what does it cost to upgrade the bitumen recovered at $25 oil?
