So, are you saying that we should be consulting with the UN before making any significant foreign policy decisions? That will most assuredly be a Republican campaign issue next year. I don't think that most Americans are ready to abdicate our foreign policy to Kofi Annan.

Has Kerry actually said that he would have changed his vote in October if he had known that the UN would not give its approval to the US?

Kucinich and Mosley-Braun have nothing to lose by continuing their dissent on the war. Everyone else will keep a low profile, if for no other reason that it is good politics. Remember that Gore supported the first Gulf war. That was one of the reasons he ended up on the ticket with Clinton.
