Z, I forgot to mention that my straw man included a true story. It happened at a rival high school while I was growing up. A girl got pregnant, but was too scared to tell anyone. So she wore loose clothing to make the pregnancy look like simple weight gain. Then in the final trimester, she dropped out of school and stayed at a friend's house. She delivered the baby in the bathroom, then killed it.

Some would argue that this calls for more widespread availability of abortion, not to mention more privacy associated with the "act." That's all fine if you believe the fetus is nothing more than a mound of tissue and not a life. But if you believe, like I do, that there is very little difference between a newborn and the unborn, then you would also see very little difference between what this girl did and what abortions do everyday.

Like I said, it all depends on what your definition of a "life" is, not on what your definition of "privacy" is. However, the Supreme Court based their Roe-v-Wade decision on privacy, not on life, hence basing their decision on a logical fallacy. Most people don't know that.
