<<The connection between Saddam and AQ>>

You might want to try a more direct connection. We stay in Saudi Arabia in order to keep Saddam in check. Our presence inflames the culture and feeds AQ's cause. And that has gotten to the point where we are being attacked at home.

So, in theory, if we take out Saddam, we can pull our troops out of Saudi Arabia (the Saudi's have already hinted at this) and then AQ can't complain abbout our violating the Holy Lands.

Of course this logic is also full of dubious assumptions such as AQ exists because we are in Saudi Arabia (as opposed to our presence gives them a "moral" lightening rod for a deeper ill-defined hatred.
