The weakness in gold and energy shares are not anomalies IMHO. They reflect expectations that both gold and energy prices are headed for sharp declines. A major and sustained rally in gold shares is out of the question until POG takes a big hit. Once that happens the bull market in both bullion and the shares can resume IMHO.
