We were not attacked by Iraq, therefore yes we need UN approval, but it's too late now thanks to all the enemies Bushies have made overseas, starting with their refusals to ratify Kyoto and other major issues. The UN should be involved to shoulder the enormous cost. The cost of Turkey rejecting us alone could be MAJOR. We hope not but hundreds or thousands more of our men could die as a result. Just poor planning arrogance has gotten us into this pickle. Even super powers can get big black eyes by acting arrogantly. Remember Vietnam? We need to be very careful here. A rush to war is not what we need. Saddam is no immediate threat to anyone.
