You've stated the danger well.

Do you think there will be other 'emergency' measures to accomodate the need to encourage securitization?

I mean if they see fit to bail out "Long-Term Capital", you'd think they should be even more eager to bail out dried-up secondary-market for home mortgages. That's a rock they can't afford to see crumble.
