Bill, LOL. I grew up in a little country town (before we moved to The Bay Area) where churches would have huge internal struggles about trivia in the Bible, and then the losers would set up a rival church. You wouldn't even believe the stuff they fought about. I'm not talking trinity or unity or transsubstantiation. I'm talking about whether the fruit in the Garden of Eden was really an apple or a fig. But I could never start a fight with what I asked them "if the whale had chewed a Tums, would he still have thrown up Jonah?" "If Jacob nearly whupped an angel in a rasslin' match, why was he scared of his brother Esau?" And, "weren't Esther and Xerxes living in sin?"
