Sorry, Randy, but both France and Russia have entered into contracts with Saddam's government in anticipation of lifting of sanctions and France has sold him weapons parts for his military in the last few months. What do you call that if not "support?" Now, under the pretense of balancing US "cowboy imperialism" they proclaim they will veto any resolution calling for use of force - period. They are protecting Saddam, plain and simple. They had hoped that sanctions would be lifted by now and if they succeed in keeping him in power they will surely push for lifting them the first chance they get.
