Care to amplify?

I've been reading a lot about China lately and they do seem to be developing a different path from Japan of the 60's to 80's. The Japanese still seem to have an island mentality at times.

Certainly, the structural problems in China mentioned by the other poster are real, but there's no denying the beast is alive.
