Ted, <I see......so when Germans decide to hang the swastika outside their house in a wave of nostalgia, I should stay quiet and let them have their fun. Right!>

No one is debating what the swastika stands for. Those who proudly display it in public believe in all of the evils of Nazism.

As for the Confederate Flag, few people who approve of it these days also approve of secession, slavery, and Jim Crow. Yes, the deep South once stood for all that, but not anymore.

How do I know that? You certainly seem very sure. However, when I was in Atlanta of few years ago, I was told by whites that MARTA, the acronym for their new transit system, stood for Moving Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta. I guess that's okay......at least its not about slavery.

And if the Confederate flag doesn't stand for the Confederacy and plantations and slavery and Scarlett Ohara, what does it stand for?
