That's the most rational thing I've heard you say in months.. But do you understand the ramifications of it??

Democracy did not spring forth on this planet without the cost of innocent lives. And free nations did not gain that freedom without first losing the lives of many innocent people..

I wish war was so "antiseptic" and precise that only the bastards like Saddam and his clan would be killed... People who have brought untold misery and death upon the innocent people of Iraq..

But if we abided by your rules of not ever killing innocent people in the process of targeting those who would do evil, we'd have probably wound up surrendering our own freedom to those tyrants who don't share your convictions...

And that's why I am so perplexed by a anti-war movement so lacking in ideas that don't rely upon force, or the implicit use of force.

Because without the implicit use of force, as well as the US possibly going its own way, the UN would not be doing anything, nor would there be UN inspectors pretending to act like they are finding something..
