EPIX Yes, it was up 10.87% today on volume of 172.57K (about 7x its daily average.) It traded for a while (from 11.55AM to 12.01PM) above its March 5 H (8.45)and was able to close above the 8 level (and again above its January Hs). It needs to close above its Dec.11 H of 9.10 before it can test the Dec.2 H at 9.50 and the Nov.18 H at 9.95 Then the resistance would be at the June & July Hs at the 10.70 to 10.78 level.The March 22,2002 H was 16.20 The March 3,2000 H was 26.75 The insiders hold close to 40% and institutions around 80% of the float. The stock trades about 11x book, but reportedly has around $2.10 in cash/share, which may be enough to last for 18 months at their present burn rate. The Phase III of MS-325 they reported last week on 178 patients with PVD reportedly met the primary clinical endpoint, which was improvement in accuracy of MS-325-enhanced MRA versus non-contrast MRA.(X-ray angiography was used as the clinical standard.) The potential of their gadolinium product looks good,but there are at least six other agents under clinical development for enhancing MRA images (Nycomed's NC100150, Schering AG's Gadomer-17, SHU555C, Guerbet's P792, Bracco's B-22956/1 and Advanced Magnetics' Code 7228) siliconinvestor.com RAGL Bernard
