>But I'm not going overboard with my views, nor am I jumping to the conclusion that the Confederate Flag is the mark of the devil itself. I understand why Southerners want to keep flying the flag, and it doesn't have anything to do with the return of Jim Crow or slavery. And frankly, understanding this is a lot more important to me than satisfying a bunch of Thought Police hypocrites who preach open-mindedness but practice otherwise.

The issue here though is not whether an individual can fly the flag- it's definitely the individual's right.

In question is whether a local or state government should be putting up a symbol of rebellion against our country, as well as one that would offend so many people.
