I have said all along that any chance of Saddam disarming or leaving went away the day the French and Germans decided to do their deal. War was guaranteed at that point as Saddam does not think it happens without UN approval and he has France with the ability to veto on his side. I think he is wrong though. We will get 9 votes and France will veto and we will withdraw from the UN and go with a coalition of the willing I believe.

That scenario I don't think is terribly good for the world psych and will probably not be very bullish in the near term I'm afraid.
