In question is whether a local or state government should be putting up a symbol of rebellion against our country, as well as one that would offend so many people.

Actually, the question is whether there is any law prohibiting a state or local government from doing so. If a state legislature duly enacts a law prohibiting flying the flag, I would say they can't do it; otherwise, they can.


Most southern state legislatures still think they won the war.......so why would they pass a law prohibiting the flag. In that way, I think the South is a lot like the French.

At one time, weren't you and the French close?
