In other words, do nothing, stand back & let our western
ways seep slowly into their lands over the next few
years/decades. Meanwhile, the OBL's & Saddam's of the world
will gleefully expand their power, their global reach &
their WMD to be used against us. Instead of being
slaughtered by the thousands, we will be slaughtered by the
hundreds of thousands, then millions.

Oh, and if the Bush Administration had taken the path you
just described; You & your politically motivated peers
would have vehemently attacked that approach with a
different set of reasons why it was completely wrong in
order to gain political points for your party. Again,
history is replete with countless examples to support this
supposition.

OOF!

IMO, what is going to happen is that the war on global
terrorism will eventually hoist these goons on their own
petards. Then their followers will see that Allah was not
with these murderous thugs. The US & the coalition of the
willing will then do what we have always done. We will help
these people & these countries rebuild & allow them to
determine their own fate. And then we will leave. PERIOD!

And no, we are not going to impose that vast so-called
neo-con conspiracy for US global Imperialism/domination
either.

Time will bear this out IMVHO.
