I thought it sounded a bit high since our entire trade deficit is in the $40 bil. range.

8:31AM Trade Balance for Jan at -$41.1 bln vs consensus of -$43.5 bln : The January trade deficit fell off to $41.1 bln from the revised record high of $44.9 bln in Dec. Exports rose 1.6% as imports fell a surprising 2.0% despite a tremendous rise in petroleum import prices.

Imports down 2%!!! That's a lot of wine and cheese!
