The Iraq War was used to subvert American democracy prior to the November elections by using post 9-11 fears to connect Saddam to Al Qaida and throw the economy and Enron scandals off the front pages. The media and moderates got suckered. Bush avoided any true debate and bullied a lot of people who disagreed with him into neutrality. It was smart politics and utterly dishonest. Watch for him to try this again. Start wars, win elections. If people let him get away with it. The neo-consdrvative right-wing takeover of America, the GOP and the world continues. And the economy burns.
