Saddam makes life miserable for the Iraqi people. The benevolent Shah allowed religious minorities to freely practice their religion. What does Saddam do to minorities? Ask the Kurds. President Carter allowed Iran to fall to the terrorists, he crippled the CIA and he gave away America's Panama canal, among other Carter disasters. He is a fool, imho, and many in the world loves fools, so he is popular.
