imo it isn't so much a contrast between Bush2 and Clinton, as between the people Clinton had speaking for him and the people Bush2 has speaking for him. the current president himself, hey, he seems to be a pretty decent guy and i have little doubt that with different advisors this would have all played out quite differently.

i absolutely believe that Bush2, in his own heart, would prefer to get along with people than to piss them off.

things have gotten so out of control that as much as i despise - and i do mean DESPISE - many memebers of the administration i actually have sympathy for the president himself. he's allowing himself to be Cartered by his own people and that's not good for him, for the US, or for the rest of the planet.

all imo.
