Bill, I am all for as you put it "Go in, poke around, verify and leave." Let the UN inspectors do it. Put as many as needed. No need for military action which may cause 500,000 casualties, many of them innocent (UN estimates). And cost 100 to 200 billion dollars at least. And earn us the undying hatred of a billion muslims all over the world. War is simply too expensive of human, economic, political, and moral capital to be waged until all peaceful means have been exhausted. Even Bush Sr. is counseling patience now. All our presidents make better ex-presidents. And especially Dubya.
