New Prediction

Even if Saddam completely disarms, we are going into Iraq.

This war isn’t about oil and it isn’t about weapons of mass destruction.

Oil is vital to the west, but as long as we could buy it, we wouldn’t start a war just to take it. If we thought like that we could have taken Iraq’s oil in 1991.

Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) must be dealt with but if that was the main problem we wouldn’t have to resort to the risk and expense of war in order to do it. If it was WMD alone, they could be quarantined in Iraq. We have always known that Saddam has had WMD. I wonder why only now it is important to ‘disarm’ him?

As i said, this war isn’t about oil or WMD. So then, what is it about?

If some guy punches you, you have two practical choices. 1) run away, or 2) defend yourself by fighting back. The worst thing you could do is try to ‘understand why he hates you’. If you tried to ‘bribe’ him he’d probably take all your money and if you offered him a cookie, he’d probably kill you.

And the trouble with running is that countries can’t run. They’re fixed in one place. They have no choice but to fight when they’re attacked.

If there is a better reason to go to war than to steal oil or eliminate WMD, then what is it and why doesn’t the government tell us about it?

The reason the government doesn’t tell us is, i believe, because they believe they can’t tell us. They can’t prove what they believe is happening. And i believe that the government is right on both counts.

Do you think that Iraq is the only enemy country with chemical or biological weapons and doesn’t yet have nukes? Why haven’t we gone after any of them (yet)? Why is our main concern Iraq? Why? Lots of countries hate us. Why are we apparently, mainly afraid of Iraq?

I think i know….

What are we going to have to do?

I think i know that too…..
