Well, it's obvious that Thomas Paine (and his Age of Reason) didn't know Jesus Christ when he wrote this document.

Interesting ,

....the religious majority of Israel must have been saying the same thing about Jesus , when he turned from carpenter to
holy man of reason 2000 yrs ago in Gallilea, and said so many new things that disrupted the interpretation of the prophesy and ritual of that time.

but it is human nature to always want to live securely and stop the hands of time and stand frozen in the fashionable scriptures ...and to ignore "reason". His writings were of great significance in that time and world that led to our independence.

( not sure if they had invented Golf ....or Golf's Bible back then though )
