Surely seven days is not too much for a man who has immolated himself for another man's obsession.

Delaying an inevitable war is not going to help anyone. What the world is protesting is the lack of any consideration to anything but war. What is needed is a real and accurate investigation of the question of Saddams's capabilities and intentions. It should be definiative. Once it is done then it will be apparent if Saddam has been undertaking secret hanky-panky or if he is just brooding in the shell of a shattered army. Team Bush wants to avoid the definitive answer.
