I hadn't noticed the grub. My, oh my! "We carried 10 gallon pails" Surely! I would struggle along 5, 10, or 15 feet and drop the pails down. Sometimes I just couldn't take the 10 foot struggles anymore and I would run away. But there were 10 kids so I would always be found and brought back at the tip of a boot. Those were the good old days! One of my brothers got his shin bones broken and re-aligned in later life because of the bows caused by struggling with those terrible weights every day. It just occured to me that some may think this is simply more satire which I sometimes engage in. It is not. Those God Damn water pails weighed a ton!
