Kerey's message is that he can make America SAFER by being less reactionary, unilateral and extreme in his responses to foreign threats. Obviously, we did well in Afghanistan and the Gulf War because we had massive coalitions of allies. Bush now has almost no real friends at all in the world save Israel and Kuwait. If Blair gets toppled from power that is.
