It seemed to be his intention to inflame some of the members of the Jewish Lobby to speak out against their peers who typically do speak out against hawkishness. He failed, but if he had been successful, it would have helped his cause. He should have had more of a strategy than just mouthing off about it. He seemed to be trying to tap into the soul of the Jewish lobby with no willingness to bare his own; as can be seen by his back peddling when confronted. Weak, wrong headed, and pathetic. Why would a man like this think he could lead an anti-movement of any kind?
