well , the greatest realization of my own life is that Jesus was just a man like the rest of us ....
making him into a sinless God , imo , detracts from his accomplishments as a man .
It is like so much rock-stardom, and easy living for the ones who are saved who pine for the sleepy soothing music of some catchy words from out of the past . Nothing is farther than the truth than this , more good works are done on earth by humanists than all the religions put together.
One honors all reasoning efforts and insights from all men at all times , rather than segregate and denounce. And Christians cornered the market on both of those in this world , Islam coming in a close second.
It still would be and is , a miraculous world with or without , full of compassion and growing insight and reason , in spite of these narrow "religions of the book".
